About CA Law Review
Our Purpose
CA Law Review exists to solve a specific compliance problem: California Business & Professions Code §7635 requires funeral establishments to provide documented training to every person who arranges or sells funeral goods and services — and to maintain that documentation for Bureau inspection.
Many establishments struggle to create, deliver, and document training that covers every required topic. Inspectors expect records that are organized, current, and readily available. When those records are incomplete or missing, the consequences can be significant.
CA Law Review provides a structured training program and the recordkeeping tools to support it. Our goal is straightforward: help funeral establishments meet their §7635 obligations with confidence.
What We Provide
Structured Training
Eight-section course covering all topics specified in §7635(a), including FTC Funeral Rule, California regulations, ethical standards, and consumer rights.
Compliance Documentation
Dated completion certificates, time-stamped participation logs, and written training outlines — the records §7635(c) requires you to maintain.
Knowledge Verification
Section quizzes and a comprehensive final exam to verify that arrangers understand the material, not just that they were present.
Establishment Management
For funeral homes training multiple arrangers: centralized tracking, compliance dashboards, and exportable records.
What We Are Not
Transparency matters, especially in a regulated industry. Here is what CA Law Review is not:
- We are not affiliated with the California Cemetery and Funeral Bureau or any other state agency
- We are not an approved provider — §7635 does not establish a provider approval program
- We do not issue state-recognized credentials — our certificates document completion of our training program
- We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice
- We are not affiliated with the California Funeral Directors Association (CFDA) or any trade organization
Our Approach
We built CA Law Review around three principles:
- Substance over credential theater. The training covers what the statute requires. We don't inflate its status with fake provider numbers or Bureau endorsement claims.
- Documentation that works when it matters. Every completion generates the records an inspector would ask to see. No scrambling before an inspection.
- Practical and accessible. Self-paced online training that arrangers can complete without disrupting their work schedule. No travel, no classroom requirements.
